Inc. was hired to mobilize an inspection crew
to perform a survey of a sunken vessel for the US Coast Guard. Divers
were instructed to visually inspect the barge that was buried in
up to 8' of mud in certain points. This was a very shallow dive
with currents and a harsh working environment. The barge was buoyed
off and marked for other vessels to see.

Description of Work: Specialty Diving,
Inc. was contracted to conduct a level III inspection of the steel
piles of bents. The piles were steel bearing piles. Specialty used
a qualified bridge inspection team leader as diver or supervisor
of the team. Specialty took Ultrasonic readings of steel piles,
and the supervisors relayed all recommendations to the client in
a thorough post-inspection report.

Description of Work: Specialty Diving
was contacted by Davis Fails, Inc. to provide a 5-man dive team
to primarily inspect and seal leaks on the stop log of the outfall
and to inspect the tunnel for damage/leakage. The work consisted
of entering the interior of a six-foot by six-foot outfall tunnel.
An underwater video was taken to aid in the report and decision
making process of the plant supervisors in charge. Specialty recommended
the installation of internal clamps spanning across the damaged
area for structural integrity and then to inject clamps with expanding
foam. All leaks and imperfections were sealed and strengthened.
A full video and written report was presented to Davis Fails, Inc.
upon completion of the job.

Description of Work: Specialty Diving,
Inc. was contracted to clean out old pipe and slip-line with a 66"
fiber reinforced pipe. Specialty accomplished this by walking (floating)
it in. Specialty connected with bell and spigot joints internally;
sealed off ends with holding plates and pumped annulus with epoxy
grout. The plant had zero water stoppage during the work. The planning
superintendent came through under budget and ahead of schedule.

Description of Work: Specialty Diving
was contracted to perform pumping of sand, mud and misc. debris
from both the pump cell and screen cell located on the riverbank.
Specialty also performed an internal inspection of both intake pipes,
each approximately 175', to access conditions and integrity of plants
water supply lines. An external inspection and debris clearance
was also performed on both intake pipes in the river. A temporary
screen was installed.

and install the above-pictured 78" (the largest in that was currently
known) Tide Flex valve. This valve was fabricated in our Owensboro,
Kentucky shop. Installation was a success and the valve is still
in place and running smoothly.

bridge fender system. Specialty was able to accomplish this in less
time than expected and to the complete satisfaction of the client.
The job included burning, welding and misc. machining.
Misc.: Specialty Diving, Inc. was contracted
to perform body recovery services for a company out of Texas. Specialty
was able to mobilize within 24hrs. Side Scan Sonar equipment was
used to scan the area in a shorter amount of time. "These guys are
the best in the business.", Patrick Thomas (president of the construction
company that hired Specialty) "We have used them before and know
that they do good work."
